Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Graduate Trainee

Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

  • We are searching for a dependable graduate engineer trainee to join our capable team.
  • The graduate engineer trainee will be responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the supervisor, assisting other engineers with projects, conducting research, and writing reports.
  • You should be able to follow instructions, but also take initiative and come up with original ideas.
  • To be successful as a graduate engineer trainee, you should have a growth mindset and a commitment to lifelong learning. Outstanding candidates should be highly observant, willing to assist wherever possible, and eager to readily engage with Engineers outside of their area of specialization.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding project requirements and completing all duties assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Shadowing senior staff members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.
  • Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
  • Conducting research and traveling to sites.
  • Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence.
  • Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs.
  • Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
  • Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors.
  • Observing health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Participating in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives.
  • Analyzing data and writing reports according to specifications.
  • Taking notes and sharing your findings with your Supervisor and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Establishing professional relationships with staff.
  • Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a related field.

Job Title: Managed Security Services Engineer

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Permanent
Department: Technical

Responsibilities

  • Security Services Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, integration, configuration, development, and support of all stages of the security services (SD-WAN, SASE, DDoS etc.) Process.
  • This includes troubleshooting and optimizing already existing networks to get them up to speed. You may also need to provide demonstrations, assisting the sales teams with technical experience, and helping to cut costs and streamline operations.

The Security Services Engineer’s responsibilities shall also include:

  • Integrate SD-WAN, SASE, DDoS and other security solutions
  • Ability to demonstrate the effectiveness of a range of managed security solutions
  • Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
  • Interpret Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and apply them to appropriate network devices.
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging cloud security solutions and technologies
  • Participate in company’s tier 2 and tier 3 security operations support
  • Participate in security incident analysis relating to offered services handling
  • Work on positively impacting the operational potency of managed security solutions
  • Day-to-day observance of the operational impact of the deployed services performance
  • Threat response to security incidences, performing actions that isolates client’s network

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • First Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 year experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing.
  • At least 3 years of system, network and/or application security experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with WAN related technologies.
  • Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.
  • Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
  • Strong understanding of a process driven environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills
  • CCSP or Security+ certification or equivalent.
  • Consistent implementation of managed security solutions at different levels.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with: Systems security, Network security, Firewalls, IDS / IPS, vulnerability assessments, incident response.
  • Knowledge of network routing and security protocols and implementations: TCP/IP, SSL, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, and VLANs.
  • Analyze events and logs using security event management tools.

Responsibilities

  • The Network Security Engineer will ensure that applications and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards, thus maintaining and enhancing customer trust.
  • He will participate in security audits, risk analysis, vulnerability testing and security reviews on all Company’s IPNGN infrastructures.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
  • Ensure the overall security posture of the network
  • Secure network by enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access
  • Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies
  • Participate in company’s tier 2 and tier 3 security operations support
  • Participate in incident handling
  • Interpret Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and apply them to appropriate network devices
  • Develop and interpret security policies and procedures
  • Mentor junior members of the IP and security team
  • Participate in security compliance efforts (e.g., PCIDSS and ISO27001)

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 – 4 years experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing.
  • At least 3 years of system, network and/or application security experience.
  • 3 – 4 years of experience working with: Cisco Routers & Switches, operating systems, (e.g. Windows and/or Linux), Network Administration, and TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
  • Strong understanding of a process driven environment.
  • CCNA, CCSP or Security+ certification or equivalent.

Job Title: Field Support Engineer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Track and repair signal outages on Gpon including signal leakages on the network in coordination with Engineering, Maintenance and NOC teams
  • Ensure sites are attended to within SLA.
  • Share relevant information with relevant teams including addresses, gaps and network issues
  • Respond to customer inquiries about products, work operations, etc. during field contacts.
  • Produce and maintain all records related to the assigned tasks
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on customer premises, including among others Coaxial and Optical Fiber cables, disconnection of idle drops, report sagging cables and damaged network devices including Lockboxes/passive and active devices.
  • Ensure work tools are well maintained including laptops, Compression tools, motor bikes etc
  • Update dispatch with accurate information pertaining sites and customer feedback
  • Ensure quality is attained with reference to industry standards.
  • Handle CPES and ensure they are well packaged with all accessories intact in cases of recovery
  • Maintain integrity including management of customer premise, company Image and phone etiquette.
  • Share feedback on issues pertaining to the network and customer experience.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • First Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design and construction of Fiber Optic Networks, including 2 years of experience at various levels of project management .
    A comparable amount of training, education and experience may be substituted in lieu of some of the minimum qualification
  • Good knowledge of GPON protocol (ITU-T G.98x standards) and/or a strong experience of GPON equipment configuration (OLT & ONT) is mandatory
  • Considerable knowledge of design and construction practice on GPON fiber optic networks
  • Good knowledge of equipment and technologies like:
    • Ethernet access networks (VLAN bridging, cross-connect)
    • Ethernet QoS (policing, shaping, IEEE 802.1p, 802.1q, 802.1ad)
    • Measurement equipment’s (protocol emulators, traffic generators, protocol analyzers)
  • Ability to operate an OTDR to troubleshoot and test fiber optic cable.
  • Considerable knowledge of other office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
  • Ability to write technical specifications
  • Extensive knowledge of creation of fiber optic paths and calculation of loss budgets.
  • Considerable ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to plan the work of technical personnel engaged in surveying.
  • Ability to troubleshoot large GPON network with minimal supervision.
  • Thorough and complete knowledge of rules, regulations, policies and procedures applicable to electric and communication industry, and the ability to apply them in day-to-day engineering situations
  • Considerable knowledge of local and state permitting agencies codes and regulations

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary & Purpose

  • The CFO has primary responsibility for the planning, staffing, implementation, and management of all the financial activities of the company.
  • This includes the business planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, and financing areas of our businesses.
  • As a start-up, this role requires an ability to clearly establish priorities, be an effective member of the leadership team, and have a solution-oriented, hands-on approach towards any given task.

Responsibilities

  • Providing direction and management of the finance and accounting functions for the UK holding company, along with our Nigeria and other West African subsidiaries (through own staff and/or contracted services).
  • Refining and controlling the financial planning, budgeting, performance reporting, and accounting activities of the company.
  • Providing strategic and operational guidance and recommendations to the CEO and members of the leadership team.
  • Facilitating relationships with the company’s banks, investors, and business partners to achieve Company’s general objectives while ensuring compliance to all relevant legal and KYC regulations.
  • Overseeing all formal Finance, Accounting, HR, and IT related policies and procedures.
  • Efficiently managing the treasury function of the company, including working capital, liquidity, collections and payments, and foreign exchange.
  • Assisting in raising and deploying a Series A capital raise, including oversight of data room and investor relations initiatives.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Higher Educational Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7 to 10+ years of relevant work experience, including several years direct responsibility for the accounting function of a company.
  • Familiarity with structuring capital raising agreements with international investors.
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification.
  • International experience working in virtual teams and variety of jurisdictions.
  • Good standing with relevant professional and regulatory organizations.
  • English proficiency, with fluency in additional languages (esp. French) an advantage.
  • Ability to reside and work in Lagos, Nigeria (with interest in possibile relocation to UK at a later date.
  • Prior experience in working with start-ups or new business initiatives in a larger organization, esp. involving mobile apps, identity verification, or digital payments.
  • Familiarity with multi-currency, cloud-based accounting software.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory compliance requirements for financial transactions and mobile/digital services
