esman, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the development to Daily Sun, says that the suspect is now in their custody, and investigation is ongoing

Aminu, is the APC Chairman of the Yautan Arewa ward in Gabasawa Local Government Area of the State, was arrested according to the police, on October 14, 2022.

According to the information gathered, hasvl it that the police had dispatched the suspected PVCs to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for confirmation. After that, all the persons whose faces appeared on the cards might be invited for questioning.

And it was reported by DAILY POST  that the offence contravenes Section 21 and 22 sub-section 1(a), (b) and (c) of the Electoral Act (amended).

Recall that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State had through its spokesperson, Sanusi Bature raised the alarm, alleging that some politicians in the State were hoarding/buying PVCs from voters in areas where they doubt their chances of performing well in the 2023 general elections.
