2023: Desist From Activities Capable Of Setting Us Back
On Thursday 15th December, 2022. We monitored closely, a well orchestrated attack on one Mr. Owhorkire Rhino of Aluu community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The sad event which took place during the wee hours of Thursday in Aluu community, saw sponsored political thugs abduct and shoot Mr. Rhino in the mouth. It took the timely intervention of health experts to save his life.
We are equally concerned and extremely worried that at this point in the political space of our dear State, some Politicians are yet primitive enough to sponsor attack on fellow Party member, simply for Mr. Rhino’s dignified reserve for opposition support in the same party.
The frightening and violent attack was a great proof of the embarrassing loss of hope for the People in Ikwerre Local Government and Rivers State at large.
This is a warning to perpetrators of these violent attacks, no single individual or group in the State have the monopoly of violence. going forward; everyone concerned should forthwith desist from heinous activities that is capable of setting us back.
We hereby call on the Law Enforcement Agencies in Rivers State to be alert enough to prevent a needless repeat of this barbaric political sponsored attack on perceived opposition in the state.
We demand a thorough investigation of this incident, we must have an assurance that the culprits will be brought to Justice to serve as deterrent to others who may be nurturing such sinister agenda in the future. Continue Reading
