Agriculture: Aimu Foni tasks state Excos on revamping sector

The lawmaker representing Chibok Local Government, Zanna Gadama Damaturu Hon. Aimu Foni has tasked groundnut stakeholders on revamping every state chapter.

Speaking at a stakeholders meeting between Executive members, state chairmen and Secretaries, at the Ministry of Trade and Investment, Old Federal Secretariat Abuja, Hon. Foni who doubles as the president of National Groundnut Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria NGROPPMAN stressed on boosting the nation’s economy through groundnut farming and agriculture.

He further tasked members on team work, adding that all differences in NGROPPMAN has been resolved therefore the executive members should be ever ready to serve Groundnut farmers.

He encouraged new membership drive to boost the association, assuring all members that the “Anchor Borrowers” program of the federal government under President Mohammadu Buhari is still in pursuit, which Groundnut farmers will soon benefit from the scheme.

In concluding, he thanked all delegates, wishing them safe journey to their respective states.

During the stakeholders meeting, members expressed satisfaction towards the president’s commitment in making progress.
Some of the members present are; Mr. Robert Ekemmita, Adeniyi Adebayo, Jennifer Vennap,
Ima-owaji Shedrack and many others.
