AMAECHI, OSIBANJO, TINUBU, OTHERS… WHO HAVE THE HIGHER ODD TO EMERGE WINNER IN 2023? By Martins Onyegbula

.

The political structure of Nigeria can be likened to a ladder with the rulers standing on the rungs according to their power, position and importance.

As 2023 draws closer, and tensions continues to heighten on who should succeed President Mohammed Buhari.
Incontrovertibly, the quest for good governance has remained a dominant discourse in the Nigerian political space.
Hence, in the wake of this, Nigerians have never blinked, faded their gaze nor develop divergent views on what good governance should encompassed.

Virtually in all political domineering chambers, hot political discussions are taking place with opponents excavating for unfettered passage to paradise, for others, it is all about devising for best disruptive strategies that will decipher the other opponent.

.

Among those to watch out for in 2023 with intimidating personalities and high political profiles, ready to jostle 2023 presidency are Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Pastor Yemi Osibanjo, Alh. Ahmed Tinubu and host of other contenders under APC.

However, without mincing words, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi stands a chance of getting the party’s Presidential ticket and will eventually emerge winner of 2023 election following his consistency and past records in politics.

As a young and vibrant leader who is highly marketable to his party, Nigerians can leverage on his numerous wealth of experience in politics and unleash their voting strengths towards him.

.

A resounding interesting feature to watch out in CRA is that he has transversed the political theater of the nation being a strong actor in both grassroot politics and national politics. When it comes to delivering on key mandate, he stands tall as perhaps, a dynamo of sorts, holding practical views that fits perfectly national interest, he is such a detribalised leader.

He is such a leader who on many occasions have leap frog inhibitions set before him, performed beyond expectations and willing to step into new terrains with bare feet even though the road seems uncertain.

One of the CRA effect is embedded in strenuous life, the life of toil and efforts, of labour and strife, to preach that highest form of success which comes not to the man who desires mere easy peace, but to the man who shrink from danger, from hardship, or from bitter toil, and who out of these wins the splendid ultimate triumph.

Among the nadirs that have conspired to offset the nation economically, politically, socially and diplomatically, AMAECHI possesses both the will and power to deal with it ruthlessly.

.

Practically speaking, as a Governor in Rivers State for 8 years, he combatantly transformed the economy of the state thereby steering it towards the part of sustainable development by initiating avalanche of reforms that helped to fix dilapidated infrastructures, and simultaneously jump-start several sectors of the economy.

His administration daringly undertook one of the
most ambitious overhauls in educational sector. For one, over 260 schools were built and completed with ICT, water and sanitation and massive play ground.

Again, he horned education to sharp razor edge. This was largely epitomized on how the state was made an epicenter of UNESCO book launch, the first city in Sub-African region to be reckoned with the UNESCO World Book Capital. Recall how the event housed many literally lords of the ink from all walks of life, to officially make the city of Port Harcourt hold the prestigious award for one year.

This will forever remain a nostalgic achievement well cherished by citizens of the state and lovers of knowledge as it promoted reading culture to high heaven.

Apart from building schools, he also developed Health and Agricultural sectors, created employment and built industries, just to name a few.

CRA’s leadership wizardry oozes out of his penchant for true administration. As a Minister of Transportation for almost 8 years, the hitherto moribund railway system has become the toast of the nation’s economy, a major contributor to the GDP of the country as well as revamping the hopes of the citizenry who today enjoys an ultra-modern rail system.

As the Director General of the ruling party on two occasions, the courage he mustered to torpedo the then ruling party (PDP) thereby vanishing their names unceremoniously from ruling the country for 60 years in darkness. Although, this disastrous blow was enough to resonate all manners of calumnious and odoriferous campaigns against his personality using his acquaintances who once described him as a “Master”

Amaechi’s personality is largely in-scripted on the pillars of Tupocracy, Meritocracy, Honesty, Equanimity, Truthfulness, Conscientiousness, Serviceability and ReliabilitY.
