Come Wednesday, 11th May 2022, all roads lead to Mercy Girls High School, Umuezeala -Owerre, Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo State, as the Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, alongside the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Okigwe, Most Rev. Solomon Amatu will bless, commission and formally handover a magnificent one-storey edifice, built to specifications by Hon. Deacon Chike John Okafor, member representing Ehime-Mbano, Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
This project is unique in many ways but mainly because it was built on request, by the Hon. Chike Okafor, following an entreaty from the principal of Mercy Girl’s High School, on the need for classroom blocks as well as a WAEC Hall.
Thus, this project, comprising 6 spacious classroom blocks and a 600 capacity WAEC Hall was conceived and executed in record time.
And because the school belongs to the Catholic Mission, the commissioning will begin with an Episcopal high mass, by the Bishop himself, His Lordship, Most Rev. Solomon Amatu.
Just two weeks ago, Hon. Chike okafor had also commissioned a Health Centre which he built in the same Ehime-Mbano LGA.
And while others are scrambling for party forms for the next election, Hon. Chike Okafor is going about doing more to deliver on his mandate, even beyond his campaign promises.
Indeed, there are similar projects, on his name, littered all over the Federal Constituency, such as Amakohia Secondary School, Ihitte Uboma and Okenalogho Secondary Technical School, Obowo, just to mention a few, and all awaiting commissioning and handover once dates are agreed upon by the management of the schools.
