GTI Microfinance Limited was incorporated in August 2007 as a limited liability company and started its operations in 2008 at No. 127 Obafemi Awolowo Road, Ikeja. In October 2013, it was licensed as a State Wide Microfinance Bank and moved its Head Office to No. 4 Tinubu Street, Central Business District, Marina Lagos. Other branches are located at Mushin, Abattoir in Agege &Surulere.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Head, Operations

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Ensure controlled processing of cash, funds transfer and account opening requests and in line with policies and agreed Turn-Around-Time (TAT).
  • Prompt handling of customers’ account maintenance requests and in line with policy.
  • Prompt processing of clearing cheques through the Correspondent Banks.
  • Proper tracking, recording and timely processing of cash collections by Loan Officers across the bank.
  • Ensure vault-in and vault-out processes are done in full compliance to policies and controls.
  • Timely vault replenishment and funding of Correspondent Accounts to cover transactions.
  • Prompt application of inflows (through the correspondent banks) into customers’ accounts.
  • Drive customers adoption towards direct payment (transfers) into their accounts with GTI Microfinance Bank.
  • First level transaction call-over on daily transactions to promptly address identified gaps.
  • Prompt response to review observations by Internal Control Unit and closure to open items in the Bank Reconciliation Statements.
  • Timely issuance of transaction/business reports.
  • Prompt and effective reconciliation at end-of-day and sign-off on transaction registers at the branches.
  • Reconciliation of daily physical cash balances to system positions in all branches.
  • Ensure cash holdings in vault and till/premises are within the approved insured limits.
  • Provide leadership in the participation in requirement gathering and testing of banking application and other automated platforms for optimal performance.
  • Take part in review and recommendation of necessary updates into the bank’s operational policies.
  • Build staff capacity and productivity through effective trainings.
  • Attain top rating in audit of the Operations group in the bank.

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal applicant should possess the following qualification & expericence:

Qualifications:

  • A B.Sc / M.Sc Degree holder & other relevant professional qualifications such MCIBN will be added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years working experince in same position from a Financial Institution preferrably a Microfinance Bank.
  • Applicant should also have digital banking operation experience.

 

 

Job Title: Managing Director

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary of Job Responsibilities

  • The MD shall coordinate and manage all strategic and operational activities of the bank as a profit centre and ensures the delivery of reliable, quality, and timely services to customers at the least cost, in a secure and controlled environment while ensuring maximum profitability and compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  • He/She shall work as a key member of GTI Microfinance Bank Limited (GTI MFB) and oversee the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting, and oversight of products development, sales & marketing, financials, and operational activities of the bank.

Specifically, the MD will:

  • Take a leadership role in building, implementing, and overseeing all of the Bank’s systems, processes, workflows, and procedures.
  • Ensure strategic objectives shaped at Executive Management level are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress.
  • To be the chief driver of the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting of business requirements and decision-making process. Shape and guide the future growth and development of the Bank.
  • Be responsible for the development and marketing of the digital banking business model of the bank and reporting on its operations, market penetration strategy, profitability, etc.
  • Develop, refine and implement operations strategy including aspects of product design, digital banking model development, creation of risk assets, customers outreach and management.
  • Ensure overall quality and efficiency of operations through delivery of outstanding services that is customers focused.
  • Review performance against balanced scorecard components as prescribed by the Executive Management, discuss gaps and agree on action plans to close gaps.
  • Benchmark productivity of the department against industry standards and create measures to improve productivity.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the regulators and Executive Management team to ensure the correct focus.
  • Monitor the strict adherence to governance and setting high standards of professionalism across all departments of the bank.
  • Review performance improvement reports to determine effectiveness of interventions.
  • Drive and deliver on the budget of the management office as an integral part of the global budget.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Possession of post graduate certification and any of the professional qualificationsuch as ICAN / ACA / MCIBN / CFA / MBA / M.Sc or any other relevant professional bodies.
  • Not less than 15 years cognate working experience in the Bankingsector, 5 of which must be in a Microfinance Bank as a Managing Director or an equivalent position.
  • The ideal applicant should also have experience in business strategy development, sales & marketing, product development and leadership skills are strongly required.

Job Title: Credit Administration & Remedial Officer

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  • To continually ensure the Portfolio At Risk (PAR) within the bank’s risk assets is driven below the set regulatory benchmark through effective engagement of default customers/guarantors, enforcement agencies and other stakeholders within the bank.
  • Daily monitoring of the loan portfolio to avoid delinquency.
  • Making outbound collection calls to debtors and working with Loan/Account Officers (where necessary) to engage debtors for follow up on payment.
  • Devising customized recovery strategy on a case-by-case basis.
  • Consistently reducing the non-performing loans owed to the bank.
  • Carrying out daily recovery exercise.
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date customer accounts information.
  • Preparing letter of demand notice to the debtors.
  • Executing approved/agreed foreclosure on collaterals.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 4 – 6 years work experience.

Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of credit products and related bank’s policies and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of the Prudential Guidelines relating Microfinance Banks.
  • Computer literacy.

 

 

 

Job Title: Loan Officer

Location: Marina CMS, Lagos

Job Description

  • Expand the branch customer base through the opening of new active customer accounts and activation of inactive accounts.
  • Creation of quality risk assets.
  • Ensure prompt repayment on due loans and keepthe Portfolio At Risk (PAR) within the guiding internal threshold.
  • Contribute to revenue and profitability through mobilization of low-cost deposits.

Job Title: Deposit Business Development Officer

Location: Marina CMS, Lagos

Job Description

  • Mobilization of quality and low-cost deposits for the bank.
  • Provide leadership in implementing business development plans to improve mobilization and retention of deposit, achieve set targets and manage withdrawal attrition.
  • Develop and implement a business plan for identified target markets with prospect to drive high volumes of new deposits to the bank.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships for fixed deposit customers, serving as the single point of contact for new business.
  • Develop and maintain beneficial relationships with corporate clients and individual depositors.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the client’s domain of activity and responding to the customer’s high priority needs for service and support.
  • Innovate and develop attractive value-added deposit products together with the Marketing Department to achieve the overall deposit targets.
  • Innovate and improve ways of rewarding depositors in terms of interest earning on ordinary deposit and fixed deposits.
  • Ensure fixed deposit account opening forms are duly completed and registered and advice clients of deposit status as necessary.
