Operation 301 ICT Savvy Ijaw Youths 2022
When I indicated interest to run for the office of the Spokesman of our revered institution, the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, I made a commitment that I’ll not only speak and defend the Ijaw nation, but also to establish a skill acquisition training center to build the capacities of our youths in ICT and also to empower them with startup packs and become self reliant.
I’m glad that despite the logistical challenges which had delayed the project for a year, my office is now fully set to work the talk.
The office has been able to set up a world class miniature ICT Skill Acquisition Training Center fully equipped to kickstart the training program for interested Ijaw youths for the benefit of our people.
Why ICT?
The world has evolved into technology which has become the driver of major economies in the world. Therefore, as Ijaw youths, we can’t afford to be lagging behind in this regard owing to the flimsy excuses IOC’s and corporate organizations give for not employing our youths as we’ve witnessed in recent times.
My office believes that for this perception about our youths not to continue, there’s need to change the dynamics of our approach and engagements. First, by creating platforms for our youths, building their capacities and prepare them for the life changing opportunities that awaits them in the near future.

Benefits of the Training:
- It will put participants in vintage position during job placement.
- It will reduce crime and criminality in our environment.
- Participants will be self reliant and self sufficient after completion of the program
- It will redirect the minds of our youths towards productivity.
Why is it Free?
- The idea is to encourage Ijaw youths who desire to be ICT compliant but cannot afford the cost of acquiring the necessary skills in the industry.
- My dream is to ensure that this become a live changing experience for interested participants who can’t afford the cost of becoming ICT inclined.
- I believe that if leaders at various levels can play their roles effectively no matter how little, society will be a better place.
The training will kickstart on the 19th July 2022 at the Office of the Spokesman Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, Aeroplane road, Opposite Central Bank of Nigeria, Swali.

Are there partners?
- We don’t have partners yet, but we desire to partner with well-meaning individuals, government at all levels and cooperate organizations to expand the scope beyond our capacity.
