Job Title: Director of Programs

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We seek applications from qualified persons for the position of Director of Programs (DOP) in an on-going USAID funded OVC project: Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award in Lagos State.
  • The candidate will be based in Lagos with oversight functions on Edo and Kwara States and report to the Chief of Party.

Specific Responsibilities

  • The DOP will be responsible for the technical content of service delivery encompassing OVC services in the technical areas—household economic strengthening (HES), education support, child protection, social/behaviour change communication, case finding, referrals to treatment (working in collaboration with other partners providing ART services), viral load monitoring services within the community setting.
  • This includes considerations for use of self-administered viral load sampling kits, optimization of viral load cascade and other efforts necessary for achieving measurable community viral suppression.
  • S/he will provide technical expertise in high-impact OVC and HIV/AIDS services and their integration into established service delivery systems at different levels of care.

Part of his/her responsibilities would include:

  • Professional documentation and timely submission of project reports.
  • Strengthening the linkages between the community-based OVC care activities and health facilities providing HIV care and treatment towards ensuring a continuum of care.
  • Support the strengthening of the capacity of implementing CSOs in the area of HIV prevention, community mobilization for HIV counselling and testing, PMTCT and Early Infant Diagnosis (EID), in addition to tracking LTFU cases, improved HIV Cascade and bi-directional referrals for uptake of services.
  • Support the implementation of evidence-based interventions for the OVC priority sub population and survivors of gender-based violence with a focus on adolescent girls and young female caregivers (including OTZ interventions for ALHIV).
  • Coordinate and maintain close liaison with project partners and with relevant stakeholders in Lagos state.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

  • MBBS or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Management Social Work, or Business Administration with a focus on public health, social sciences or related field. A Master’s degree in relevant areas is preferred.
  • Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience in Donor funded program such as USG or United Nations in designing and managing OVC and HIV programs.
  • Also required is a vast experience in managing USG-funded activities, including program planning, implementation, data use, monitoring and reporting.

Required Experience:

  • The DOP will have experience and demonstrated understanding in working with HIV and OVC community-led organizations.
  • S/he will have excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and ability to develop and track workplans implementation effectively.

Job Title: State Program Coordinator – Program Management, Adolescents / Youth Development and Gender (SPC)

Location: Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time

Specific Responsibilities

  • The State Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Programs and will provide programmatic, technical and financial responsibility for state level leadership and management of and reporting on ARFH-ICHSSA program activities. This includes effective coordination of program, strategic information and finance activities at the state level and ensuring productive organizational management, with excellent Communication and Report Writing skills. S/he will  interface with Government, Partners and Stakeholders in the Project State.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Degree in Medical Field, Social Sciences with at least 6 years cognate experience, which must include at least 3years in Programming for OVC, and Sub granting to CBOs.
  • Also, preferred are knowledge of health programs with the Nigeria public sector, health system, NGOs/CBOs and collaborative relationship and liaison with community leaders. An MPH is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 6 years cognate experience, which must include at least 3 years in Programming for OVC, and Sub granting to CBOs.

Job Title: Finance Officer (FO)

Location: Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The FO will report to the State Program Coordinator (SPC), with oversight guidance from the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO).

Specific Responsibilities

  • S/he will be responsible for supervising all banking transactions, preparation of PVs and writing of cheques, posting of PVs and preparation of financial reports.
  • He/she is responsible for budget tracking, reviewing posted accounting transactions in the QuickBooks, bank statements reconciliation, and preparation of staff payroll.
  • The FO will also be in charge of making requisition for funds, reimbursements and involvement in the capacity building of the Community Based Organizations on Financial management.
  • He/she is to keep financial records and produce financial reports for audits.
  • 100% of his/her time per annum is chargeable to the project.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must have First Degree / HND in Accounting or other related Social Sciences.
  • Also required is a minimum of 3 years working experience, strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and QuickBooks, good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing USAID grants and familiarity with Nigerian NGOs contractual procedures and a relevant higher degree will enhance applicant’s chances.

Job Title: Admin / Front Desk Officer (AFDO)

Location: Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The AFDO will report to the State Program Coordinator, with oversight guidance from the DFO.

Specific Responsibilities

  • S/he will be responsible for the day-to-day secretarial and administrative functions of the State Office.
  • He/she will be responsible for HR and Personnel matters as well as the supervision of the drivers and project vehicles and inventory management.
  • S/He will also serve as the face of the organization, receiving visitors and interacting with visiting stakeholders.
  • 100% of his/her time per annum is chargeable to the project.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.Sc. / HND in Business Admin, Social Sciences or HND in Secretarial Studies.
  • At least 3 years cognate experience in NGOs and service organizations.
  • S/He should also possess excellent oral and written skills in English language, proficiency in current office software applications (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), and experience in multi-cultural setting will be added advantage.
