Job Description  

  • We are recruiting a full-time Senior Operations Officer to support our independent power producer business as we continue to grow our number of projects, markets, and people under management.
  • The Senior Operations Officer will play a hands-on role in streamlining our team’s continuous data management, culture management, publicity, compliance, and business intelligence work, employing their broad curiosity and creativity to build robust analog and digital solutions.
  • This person will solicit feedback from CBE’s diverse functional teams on operational pain points, then train people to use the new approaches they design to deliver consistent outcomes and maximize the value of our talent.
  • The Senior Operations Officer will also be responsible for evaluating data for application to management decision-making, external marketing, and investor requirements. Primary Responsibilities 

  • Identify patterns in team workflows across CBE’s Business Development, Project Development, Regulatory, Environmental & Social, Finance, and other departments, synthesizing disparate quantitative and qualitative data to form a cogent view of how our team gets work done
  • Accelerate problem-solving within CBE’s corporate operations function by identifying the core business/financial problem to be solved, then quickly structuring and executing on an effective, efficient approach to cracking it
  • Translate knowledge and analyses into digestible “so-what’s,” reporting back to the Operations team and to CBE Management on the impact of Operations opportunities and challenges

  • We are recruiting an ESCo Project Engineer for the development and implementation of it Telecom Energy as a Service Company (TESCo) activities in Africa.

  • Provide engineering expertise during project design, construction, commissioning, representing the interests of CBE’s customer and our interests as the asset owner

  • Support the business development team with technical inputs for pricing, proposal materials and customer engagement;
  • Provide technical support during PPA drafting and negotiations;
  • Project management through implementation including:
  • Managing Kickoff meeting and ongoing stakeholder engagement
  • Project progress and quality reviews
  • Management of PPA, Supply and Construction contracts
  • Support the CBE technical team on an adhoc basis on projects across the full CBE portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience carrying out engineering services related to wind power projects, wind energy project development or project technical due diligence
  • Experience with the development, implementation and/or operation of medium to large scale wind energy generation projects –consulting, developer, IPP, operator
  • Detailed understanding of wind power plant design.
