- We are recruiting to fill the role of an Internal Control Executive. Successful Candidate for this role will be responsible for evaluating and improving the control environment and operational effectiveness of the establishment and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Job Description
- To plan, organize and carry out the internal controls function including the preparation of an audit manual and audit plan.
- Conduct risk assessment of all departments.
- Reports risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies identified directly to the Chairman, Board of Directors.
- Create compliance policies and procedures.
- Evaluate information security and associated risk exposures.
- Deliver adequate and timely reporting on the internal control framework and control deficiencies to ensure appropriate communication, documentation, escalation to the Chairman, Board of Directors.
- Drive and implement anti-fraud program within the organization.
- All other duties that could be officially requested by the Chairman, Board of Directors.
Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc. or HND in Accounting and Finance related role.
- Minimum of 2 years of Cognate experience as Internal Control Executive is a MUST.
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional association is an added advantage, e.g. ACA, ICAN, and ACCA.
- Related experience in the hospitality sector withproficient use of relevant tools is an added advantageE.g Quickbooks, Peachtree, SAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates ability to identify problems.

Job Title: Corporate Loan Officer – Salary Loan
Location: Lagos

Job Description
- Loan officers at Alert Microfinance Bank are responsible for the marketing, evaluation and processing of loans and act as liaison between customers and the organization while helping qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.
- Market loan products and process loan applications for employees in Private Organizations (Corporate – Private Sector).
- Interview loan applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of repayment of loans
- Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up loan payment plans
- Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
- Opening loan applications Conducting loan analysis by visiting the business and household of clients
- Visiting the business /employer of guarantors and preparing a complete loan assessment according to the bank’s credit procedures
- Presenting loan proposals to the credit units and informing the client about the decision of the credit units
- Ensuring punctual repayments of acquired loans from clients, contacting and visiting all parties based on needs
- Ensuring high quality standards of the bank’s credit portfolio
- Ability to meet and exceed targets while actively working to increasing business portfolio and client’s base.
Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc. or its equivalent in Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years Microfinance Banking cognate experience in marketing and disbursement of loans to salary earners.
- Sound Risk Management experience and knowledge of source deduction.
- Ability to disburse loans in large volumes without default to employees in the private sector (Private Companies Employees)
- Experienced in repayment tracking and loan collection without a day default

- Good knowledge of Lagos Island and Mainland markets.
- Ability to disburse SME, Public and Private Loans in large volumes without default.
- Experienced in repayment tracking and loan collection without a day default.
