Job Title: Company Secretary

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are currently recruiting for the position of a Company Secretary for a business with operations in the Hospitality, Oil & Gas and Technology sector. The Company Secretary will provide high quality legal and secretarial duties to the Board of Directors.

Job Summary

  • The Company Secretary is responsible for the provision of legal and compliance advise to the company and its board, provide secretarial duties to the board of Directors and assist the board in the management of the affairs of the company

Job Responsibilities
Legal Advisory:

  • Advise, in conjunctions with the company’s solicitors, the chief executive or other executive, in respect of the legal matters, as required.
  • Prepare, approve, sign and seal agreements leases, legal forms, and other official documents on the company’s behalf, when authorized by the broad of the directors or the executive responsible
  • Engage legal advisors and defend the rights of the company in Courts of Law

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance of the provisions of Company’s and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) and rules made there-under and other statutes and byelaws of the company
  • Ensure that business of the company is conducted in accordance with its objects as contained in its memorandum of association
  • Manage the affairs of the company in accordance with its objects contained in the articles of association and the provisions of CAMA

Secretarial Duties:

  • Prepare the agenda in consultation with the Chairman and the other documents for all the meetings of the board of directors
  • Arrange with, call, and hold meetings of the board and to prepare a correct record of proceedings
  • Attend the broad meetings to ensure that the legal requirements are fulfilled and provide such information as are necessary
  • Prepare, in consultation with the chairman, the agenda and other documents for the general meetings
  • Arrange with the consultation of CEO/MD the annual and extraordinary general meetings of the company and to attend such meetings to ensure compliance with the legal requirements and to make correct record thereof
  • Carry out all matters concerned with the allotment of shares, and issuance of share certificates including maintenance of statutory Share Register and conducting the appropriate activities connected with share transfers
  • To have custody of the seal of the company
  • Ensure that statutory forms are filed promptly
  • Provide members and auditors with notice of meeting
  • File a copy of special resolutions on prescribed form within the specified time
  • Supply a copy of the accounts to every member of the company, every debenture holder and every person who is entitled to receive notice of general meetings. You must send annual audited accounts
  • Ensure that people entitled to do so, can inspect company records. For example, members of the company are entitled to a copy of the company’s register of members, and to inspect the minutes of its general meetings and to have copies of these minutes
  • Compile the reports of all the subsidiaries monthly.

Requirements

  • LLB – University Degree in Law
  • Must have 2- 5 years post- call experience
  • Must have past experience as a company secretary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, to enable professional interaction within staff and management, both internal and external to the firm
  • A flexible, pro-active approach to work
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Willingness to embrace a technology start up.

Job Title: Production Assistant

Job Title: Design Architect (Furniture / Interior Design)

Job Summary

  • The Design Architect is responsible for designing furniture and interior pieces, managing furniture and interior design projects. This involves creating designs, managing project sites, receiving client’s briefs, designing and communicating client’s specification to factory.
  • The Design Architect is also responsible for ensuring that client’s requests are done to specification and delivered on time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receiving clients’ briefs for individual projects
  • Creating furniture designs with design software and tools
  • Managing project sites
  • Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Communicating clients’ specification to factory
  • Supervising installations at client’s location
  • Managing client sites
  • Ensuring that client’s requests are carried out to specification
  • Leading project planning sessions
  • Coordinating staff and internal resources
  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
  • Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
  • Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary

Requirements and Qualifications

  • HND / BSc Degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Ability to use design software to create furniture designs: ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Solid Works, Google Sketch-up etc
  • Minimum of 2 – 5 years in project management/construction site supervision in a furniture-making/interior design company.
  • Experience in furniture making and installation is desirable.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain client’s expectation.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Excellent leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail.
  • Certification in Project management is an added advantage.

 

 

 

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • Using panel saw machines.
  • Using sawing machines, mortice machines, moulding machines, routers (which cut complex shapes), planes and drills
  • Calculating how much wood you need and selecting the right kind.
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings.
  • Making jigs and templates for each task.
  • Cutting and shaping wood..
  • Treating wood with preservatives
  • Cleaning and servicing machines and sharpening or replacing blades.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required

  • SSCE, NABTEB or Trade Certificate.
  • 3 – 5 years experience as a Machinist in a furniture making factory.
  • The ability to stand, walk and move for up to eight hours per day.
  • Previous experience with furniture manufacturing.

 

 

 

Job Title: Instore Sales Representative

Location: Magodo, Lagos
