Department of Basic Education (DBE) Release NSC Matric Final Exam Timetable

The Department of Basic Education (DBE) had its largest number of matric candidates for its 2021 final examinations. The Education Department has great news for the current cohort of matriculants.

The National Senior Certificate (NSC) October/November 2020 exams will kick off with a selected few languages on 31 October 2022 with the final day of the exams being on 18 November 2022.

The examinations will run for three weeks in exams centres across the country, ie. public schools, independent centres, designated and part-time centres.

As this announcement has been made before the current matriculants write their mid-year exams, this gives them ample time to prepare for their final examinations.

The Save Our Children organisation had hoped that the Education Department would postpone the start of the exams to ensure maximum readiness.

This comes after the country had been faced with the Covid-19 pandemic and the implications it had on the Education Sector.
