The student’s union government of the University of Port Harcourt has bestowed an award of recognition on the former Managing Director of Rivers State Sinage and Advertisement Agency, Hon, Dr, Chukwudi Dimkpa
Gift Ubabuike, President of Student’s Union government of the University, while making the presentation, said the award confers a “Role Model” status on Engr Dimkpa for Nigerian students community at home and in diaspora.
The student’s leader applauded the Port Harcourt Polo Club President for his generosity and countless support to students and the growth of education in the country, and also appreciated Dr Dimkpa for the rare privilege of meeting with him even on short notice.
On his part, the Senate President of the Union, Divine Amaehule, thanked Dr Chukwudi Dimkpa for accepting the award and the role of a model to students, also used the opportunity to hint on activities lined up for the forthcoming student’s week of the university, soliciting for collaboration and support.
Hon Chukwudi Dimkpa, Chairman Board of Karate Federation of Nigeria, in is his response, thanked the President, the Senate President, the SUG and the entire students of the University for the award and honor.
He admonished the students to shun social vices, and be of good behavior and encouraged them to study hard, noting that he has accepted the role of a model and to collaborate with them in areas that would benefit Nigerian students.
On the visit with the President and Senate President were members of the SUG executives and Senators of the Legislative arm of the student’s Union Government.
