The Eye Foundation Hospital Group (EFHG) consists of a group of specialized ophthalmic care hospitals in different locations within Nigeria. The legacy hospital was founded in 1993 and has grown over the years evolving into a group of high-tech specialist eye hospitals providing state-of-the-art ophthalmic care. It is the foremost indigenous eye practice in Nigeria that prides itself in running the first private ophthalmic residency training program, fully accredited by both the national postgraduate medical college and the west African college of surgeons.

The EFHG early in its evolution, took ophthalmic subspecialisation to a new level in Nigeria by offering subspecialty services in several subspecialties and has subspecialized ophthalmologists in major subspecialties.

We are currently recruiting medical specialists to fill the positions below:

Job Title: Ophthalmic Resident

Location: Nigeria (All Eye Foundation Hospital Branches)
Reporting Line: Director of Post-Graduate Training

Detail

  • Residency training under the West Africa College of Surgeons and National postgraduate College of Nigeria training curriculum.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Medical Degree from an accredited University within Nigeria or equivalent from a university or medical college abroad recognized by the NMDC/NUC.
  • Must have passed National or West Africa Primaries in Ophthalmology
  • Must have completed NYSC.

 

 

Job Title: Facility Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Facility Manager

Job Summary

  • To ensure the effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services, and processes to meet the needs of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the facility manager in developing and implementing a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
  • Conduct and document regular facilities inspections
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
  • Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
  • Coordinate intra-office moves
  • Assist in managing maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
  • Manages facility refurbishment and renovations
  • Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
  • Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor activities of contract suppliers
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships
  • Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
  • Check completed work by contractors and vendors
  • Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing
  • Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels
  • Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff
  • Oversee environmental health and safety
  • Assure security of the facility
  • Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
  • Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants
  • Available for travel to all Eye Foundation Hospital group locations.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Qualification in engineering field
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role and industry.

Job Title: Ophthalmic Fellow

Location: Ijebu Imushin, Ogun
Reporting Line: Medical Director

Job Description

  • We are looking for a knowledgeable and skilled Ophthalmologist to be responsible for running Ophthalmology Clinics and Surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Prescribing corrective lenses
  • Coordinating outreach activities
  • Teaching Resident Doctors
  • Performing highly advanced duties, such as Cataract Surgeries.

The Ideal Candidate

  • MBBS Degree from an accredited University.
  • Minimum of 1 year post residency training.
  • A license to practice ophthalmology.
  • Must be a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate Medical College.
