Rivers Education Commissioner, Prof. Prince Chinedu Mmom has applauded the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON, GSSRS, POS (Africa) for investing heavily in the education sector.

Prof. Mmom made this statement today when he led journalists on an inspection tour to Community Secondary School, Obuama in Degema Local Government Area.

The Education Commissioner described the school as one of the signature projects of Chief. Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike’s administration. He added that, the school befits the standard of a Polytechnic.

He noted that the reconstruction of Community Secondary School, Obuama is a great effort by the Wike administration towards repositioning the education sector.

Thereafter, the Education Commissioner proceeded to Kalabari National College and Kalabari Girls High School, Buguma respectively.

While fielding questions from journalists, the education commissioner assured the team of journalists the resolve of the Governor to complete all projects embarked upon by his administration. He further added, that he would make an appeal to the governor to revisit the construction of Kalabari National College.

The Education Commissioner frowned at the absence of the contractor handling the Kalabari Girls High School on site.

Prof. Mmom added that the information at his disposal is to the effect that the contract had long left site. He advised the contractor to go back to site and complete the job
