Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary

  • The primary responsibility of the CFO is to manage the company’s finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting
.

Responsibilities
Business Strategy:

  • Contributes to the formation of the Business Strategy and ensures that all financial policies, procedures and systems are sound.
  • Oversees the preparation of Annual Operating Plan, Business Financial Plan and Analytics.

People Management:

  • Works in conjunction with other senior management team members to set standards, priorities and schedules.
  • Responsible for employee engagement within the Finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Finance-related field.
  • Must be a qualified /certified Accountant ACA/ACCA
  • MBA and CFA is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 12 years’ financial experience, with at least 5 years in Senior Financial Management capacity spanning Corporate, Business Planning, Revenue Assurance, Treasury Management and Accounting with excellent knowledge of Insurance Business.

  • The Risk Management Officer shall work closely with the Head, Risk Management to identify and analyse the areas of potential risks threatening the assets, earning capacity and success of operations.

  • Evaluate due diligence recommendation report including risk evaluation and advise management on cooperation with PFIs.
  • Evaluate guarantee application received from prospective PFIs to establish the creditworthiness of the PFI, and identify the risks and opportunities in developing a partnership with the PFI and to establish the base to develop a path for the guarantee cooperation including the intensity of the guarantee assessment.
  • Review guarantee appraisal of loans to be placed under guarantee to determine the Risk Acceptance Criteria and advise management on key findings.
  • Conduct periodic portfolio monitoring on guarantee operations and credit risk to ensure performance & compliance.
  • Review and appraisal of guarantee claims application with recommendation on whether to approve the guarantee claim or to reject.
  • Review and monitor claims refunds report status quarterly and initiate random file audits to ensure proper handling by the PFIs.
  • Ensure compliance with various laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance / Accounting will be an added advantage.
  • Significant experience in financial services particularly in the areas of risk management, internal audit, strategic planning and governance frameworks with at least 5 years hand-on experience.
  • A background in banking, actuary or insurance is essential.
  • Experience with credit risk guarantees/insurance and exposure to development issues is desirable.
  • Ability to exercise and perform oversight functions over governance, risk, compliance and control arrangements in a complex financial operation.

Key Expectations

Management Reports including providing comments on the reasons for variances between actual and budget:

Job Summary

  • The Head, Quality Management is to ensure the quality standard of all items produced, strict compliance with regulated product processes and procedures, review and compare blueprints and specification to produced goods.

Job Responsibilities
Product Compliance:

  • Ensure products meet with corporate standards as well as applicable government regulations.
  • Confirm that taste, color and smell of food products are within the acceptable specifications and ensure products are packaged safely and clearly stated expiration dates and instructions about storage and use.
  • Determine, negotiate and agree on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications and Assess customer requirements and ensure that they are met.
  • Review blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
  • Specify quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers, Investigate and set standards for quality, health and safety
  • Ensure that manufacturing process comply with standards at both national and international
  • Carry out and monitor testing and inspection of products and materials to ensure the finished product meets quality standards.
  • Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  • Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionalities
  • Ensure legal obligations are followed and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
  • Investigate and set standards for quality, health and safety.
  • Ensure production team are tested and vaccinated according to NAFDAC Acts of Food handlers.
  • Oversee research projects to improve taste, preservation techniques and packaging solutions
  • Oversee installation of defect tracking mechanisms

Develop and Improve Products:

  • Oversee installation of defect tracking mechanisms
  • Devise, improve, and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and train staff to use them.
  • Develop procedures for testing of final product and makes decisions regarding the issuance of recall notices.
  • Devise ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality
  • Organize training programs for production units to meet company’s quality standard and improve product excellence
  • Train team members to refine production quality
  • Ensure employees learn the importance of accuracy when mixing ratios as well as understand the effect of parameters such as temperature on the quality of food.
  • Train employees on the importance of hygiene, such as wearing hairnets, washing hands and equipment after every batch to ensure food products are not contaminated

Training Program:

  • Organize training programs for production units to meet company’s quality standard and improve product excellence
  • Train staff on new and up to date specifications, procedures and processes introduced to improve and enhance quality standard.
  • Train employees on the importance of hygiene, such as wearing hairnets, washing hands and equipment after every batch to ensure food products are not contaminated

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Food technology or any other related course.
  • A Masters Degree in a related field will be an added advantage
  • 10 – 12 years of related work experience in strategic management and strategic consulting
  • A professional certification in any related course would be an added advantage
  • Ability to make considered decisions and communicate them effectively
  • Excellent technical skills, Good leadership skills, Planning, organization, Interpersonal relationship and Problem solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis/ statistical method.

Job Title: Executive Assistant

Role Summary

  • The overall purpose of the role is to provide administrative support in an effective and efficient manner to Partners/Managers and all staff in the unit.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare professional correspondence, financial statement, reports and documents under the direction of the Partners and Managers

  • Prepare funds transfer instructions to relevant Banks
