HON.TEKENA IYAGBA FIRST OKRIKA APC GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRANT , FORMALLY DECLARES HIS INTENTION TO GOVERN RIVERS STATE,COMMENDS AMAECHI’S DEVELOPMENTAL REVOLUTION AS FORMER GOVERNOR.
“MY AGENDA IS TO CREATE ADDITIONAL EIGHT CITIES IN RIVERS STATE “~ HON.TEKENA IYAGBA.
A Frontline Governorship Aspirant, entrepreneur, owner of conglomerate of schools and businesses, socialist and Philanthropist, Hon.Tekena Iyagba, from the Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State,today, Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, formally declared his intention to run for the office of the governor of Rivers State, under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing newsmen, in a media parley ,at the famous Chinese Restaurant,in Port Harcourt,the Okrika born business magnet, hinted that Rivers State needs the infrastructures and structure that will return it to it’s original Garden City Status.
The aspirant with the uncommon combination of being both intelligent and brilliant ,hinted that he sat back and watch alot of things go wrong in Rivers State,and with a deep understanding that government should not be left in the hands of those who lack the ideas, capacity and structure.
He pointed out that ,why Lagos State is working is because, they have an existing structure, and that governance will make less meaning when government runs out of oil, stating that diversification into urbanisation and industrialization ,are the keys to drive the economy globally.
Hon. Iyagba observed that foriegn investors only come to take from Nigeria and go back to their country, adding that Dubai is build by foriegn investors, who put in their resources towards developing the economy.
He narrated that the former governor of Rivers State, Rt Hon.Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi declaration of developmental revolution, was able to cut across the entire sectors, ranging from security, employment, education and health.
“I am more of an administrator, who needs political will, to achieve my purpose,one of my passions is on the area of health.I loss my mother because of the mismanagement in the health system,and I will give priority attention to stop such reoccurrence”.
“Part of my agenda ,is to create eight more cities to decongest the current Port Harcourt, ministry like agriculture, should be able to be moved into a region with verse land for farming”.
