The scheme targets creation of 16,000 Agro Geo-Cooperatives (ranging from 10 hectares to 20,000 hectares and above) on four million hectares of farmland and enrolling about eight million farmers within the country who are expected to produce about 12 million tonnes of Grain Product Equivalent (GPE) yearly over the medium to long term.

- Applicants must be Nigerian Citizens.
- Must be a farmer or interested in farming.
- They must posses Bank Verification Number (BVN).
- Have National Identification Number (NIN).
