Rivers Police Command Confirms Killing Of 3 Officers On Escort At Rumuokoro Fly Over

…says man, who was kidnapped is an Oil Company Worker, as investigation is ongoing

The Police in Rivers State have confirmed the news that made round yesterday that three Police men were shot and killed by yet to be identified gunmen at the Rumuokoro fly over.

Spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, GRACE IRINGE-KOKO, in a statement gave the name of the man, who killed in the process as Mr SENI AWOSIKE, a staff IGPES Group of Oil and Gas Company at about 14:50pm yesterday.

According to GRACE IRINGE-KOKO, “At about 1650hrs, a Staff of IGPES Group of Oil and Gas company, On 24/11/22, along Obiri Ikwere flyover, a green Sienna Vehicle was flashing light on them to stop but they refused.

“Later the Managing Director, Mr SENI AWOSIKE, the kidnapped victim asked them to stop whilst they were wearing military uniform along Rumuokoro flyover.

“The hoodlums opened gunfire and shot three mobile Police Officers, who died on the spot.
