Job Title: Senior HSE Officer

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance with formal investigation of incidents and assessment of risk providing procedures and training to prevent future occurrences when required. Ensure identified actions are tracked to closed.
  • Provide and manage consistent high-quality HSSE development work and services, and for Safety relating to onsite safe systems of work and to Technical Integrity in compliance with the Operating standards.
  • Monitor, review, and report HSSE performance of the Operator, main contractors, and subcontractors to achieve the performance commitments.
  • Drive and coordinate delivery of quality HSE expert advice, support, and services for Safe work systems.
  • Carry out specific HSSE-MS implementation tasks and support all activities required to Ensure Safe Production.
  • Monitor and advise GM technical, the site, and the Operator on HSE issues especially resulting from activities on site.
  • Cascade Learning from Incidents, best practices, drive implementation of HSE practices according to company guideline
  • Seek to continuously improve HSE risk identification, assessment, and reduction in the location.
  • Execute the location waste management and evacuation plan.
  • Manage and Coordinate HSE Performance Measurement to ensure consistency in data reporting and interpretation.
  • Support the build-up and delivery of HSSE plans towards realization of continuous improvement of HSE performance in the location.
  • Test and maintain Area Emergency response procedures and plans.
  • Develop and Deliver HSSE training for staff and contractors to ensure practices are in full compliance to the safe systems of work at site.
  • Assists with the identification of HSSE training needs for the company and organizes delivery of training.
  • Conducts regulatory inspection (e.g., Statutory facility inspections, chemical storage, eye wash stations, fire extinguishers, lifting straps, ladders etc.).
  • Participates in industry Health, Safety & Environmental professional group(s) and maintain a current knowledge of industry HSSE direction and standards (agency & client).

Knowledge and Experience

  • Science or Engineering Degree with at least 10 years relevant experience.
  • Seasoned HSSE Professional with experience managing HSSE risk in the oil & Gas industry.
  • Able to develop and implement industry policies, strategies, and standards.
  • NEBOSH certification will be an advantage.

Job Title: JV Coordinator

  • Communicate with JV partner, operator, and regulator to ensure that appropriate information is conveyed to different stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation or review of reports to internal and external stakeholders to ensure that appropriate information is conveyed from/to the different Stakeholders.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement improvements within the JV that could improve business performance.
  • Other duties assigned by supervising personnel.

Job Title: Technical Assistant to the MD

  • Provide input to technical studies, technical reports, project planning reports, etc. to be presented to the MD/CEO.

  • Maintain effective and comprehensive electronic & paper filing systems to ensure efficient flow of correspondence and documentation.

Job Title: Senior Facilities Engineer

Job Description

  • Ensuring zero incident in projects and operations by ensuring compliance to goal zero.

  • Lead the design, construction, and support operations of metering devices including Lease Automatic Custody Transfer Units (LACT) Units, PD Meters, and Autosamplers.
  • Lead the design, specification, procurement, testing, installation, and commissioning of rotating equipment especially pumps, compressors, turbines, and generators.
  • Deliver leadership during all project phases, concept development, FEED, detailed engineering design, construction, installation, and commissioning.
  • Develop functional and performance test procedures for surface facilities equipment, in close cooperation with relevant personnel ensuring concise analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of testing procedures.
  • Consult and negotiate with vendors/contractors/sub-contractors to prepare specifications, explain proposals, and present engineering reports and findings to top management.
  • Oversee & participate in the contractor bid selection and evaluation processes.
  • Develop and initiate methods to bring about a reduction in the operating cost of the company’s assets.
  • Determine, develop, and deliver innovative strategies and tools to sustain, and improve the current production levels where there is opportunity.
  • Work with finance team to develop a solid cash flow projection and reporting mechanism.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years experience in the oil and gas industry, out of which eight (8) years in an engineering, procurement, and construction company.
  • Lead role in engineering or production operations with a span control of at least 5 people.
  • Broad knowledge of other engineering disciplines; electrical, instrument, civils, and piping.
  • Experience in equipment specification, procurement, and testing; vessels, pumps, compressors, valves, and instruments for the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in field development plans and concept selection studies for surface facilities.
  • Experience in gas gathering and gas facilities design and operations.
  • Experience in plant commissioning, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Experience working with international codes and standards for capital and small projects.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Must be goal and outcome focused with the ability to manage multivariable, complex development projects.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills
