Job Description

  • We are currently hiring an Electrical & Instrumentation Project Manager to join us for a duration of 24 months,
  • The appointed will demonstrate significant experience in the oil and gas, refinery or petrochemical industry.

Responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate’s Profile

  • B.Sc Electrical and Instrumentation.
  • 10 years of demonstrable experience in similar role or senior position in Construction Management.
  • Previous experience working on a O&G / refinery / petrochemical site with a proven background of successful project delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of related HSEQ safe working practices/procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction process, it’s implementation and management.
  • Fully conversant with project management tools.
  • Ability to react to changing deadlines and achieve project goals / milestones.
  • Ability to manage / maintain budget / schedule requirements.

  • Fluent in English. French speaker a plus.

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – H / F

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Electrical Maintenance in the provision of technical support to the site maintenance teams for electrical / HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Supervise the development and planning of minor electrical modifications and improvement projects, to ensure safe, timely and cost effective execution in accordance with company standards and specifications.
  • Prepare scope of work for approved work programs ensuring that all relevant operating procedures and safety regulations are clearly outlined.
  • Prepare bill of material for electrical work and ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available as and when required.
  • Prepare scope of work and calls for bids and issue these to contractors invited to tender for electrical works to be performed.
  • Ensure that the procurement of electrical/HVAC materials and equipment matches the project objectives.
  • Support the lead Electrical Engineer in the management of the electrical detailed engineering activities.
  • Supervise execution of electrical / HVAC modification works at site by external contractor ensuring that the proper procedures are followed and that all modifications are properly documented and carried out according to stated standards.
  • Assist with the analysis of equipment malfunctions and makes recommendation for repair and future preventive action.
  • Assist with the preparation of the preventive maintenance schedule for electrical/HVAC plant and equipment.
  • Ensure that the planned preventive maintenance is carried out as planned.
  • Monitors and updates materials MRP data, review stock quantities, usage and consumption to minimize the stock value whilst ensuring that all spare parts are available for routine, breakdown and shutdown maintenance.
  • Support the Head Electrical Engineer in the preparation of company’s estimate and yearly budget plans and follows up on any budget variation or reconciliation issues with NAPIMS.
  • Troubleshoot complex or recurring electrical problems which require technical analysis and resolution with the help of other departments, vendors or original equipment manufacturers and recommend sound and cost-effective solutions.
  • Administer the electrical/HVAC planned preventive program, to ensure that the maintenance tasks undertaken are adequate to prevent unplanned equipment failure.
  • Liaise with vendors and the original equipment manufacturers for all queries regarding maintenance, modifications, spare parts, drawings, and the resolution of technical problems.
  • Ensure that all drawings, plans, manuals and Maintenance Equipment Log Book (MELB) are up-to-date and “as-built” and directs draftsmen to carry out all corrections and reflect any alterations, modifications and additions to electrical equipment system.
  • Review and check work completed by contractors ensures compliance with work is satisfactorily completed, make necessary corrections, and submit to the Maintenance Methods Engineer for endorsement

Job Profile

  • B.Sc. Engineering Degree in Electrical or Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience working with electrical plant and equipment within an Oil and gas or
  • Petrochemical environment.
  • Good knowledge of electrical HV and LV systems.
  • Technical reporting, good mathematical skills and basic computer software skills.

Job Title: PLC Specialist

Job Dimensions

  • Direct responsibility for the maintenance, operation and configuration of the hardware and software of the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and associated devices of all Packages within the FPSO Industrial Information System (SII),

HSE:

Technical:

  • Maintain, operate, modify, and perform routine tasks on the PLCs, HMIs, automation computers and Unit Control Panels (UCP) of all FPSO Packages located in the Hull and Topside of the FPSO as well as the Buoy, all located within the Field.
  • Carry out modifications on both hardware (input, output, communication cards etc.) and software (control and safety logic, sequence logic etc.) of all systems (compressors, pumps, oil & gas metering system, High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS), Tank Gauging System (TGS), Power Distribution Control System (PDCS), Telemetry System, machine monitoring system etc.), under his responsibility as may be required, requested, or directed by Company.
  • Prepare with the ICSS Administrator preventive and corrective actions and modifications of the systems under his responsibility.
  • Manage and document in technical reports, interventions using the CMIMS, and work packs provided by the planning team.
  • Follow up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems under his responsibility and perform trouble shooting if required.
  • Control and apply inhibits in the systems as directed and controlled by Company rules and procedures.
  • Maintain an accurate and auditable log of all system faults and inhibits (Short term and long term).
  • Take part in daily, weekly and coordination meetings on site,
  • Identify, in the preparatory stage of maintenance works, any sensitive operation and ensure that a proper assessment of the risks involved is carried out beforehand,
  • Identify recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyze them and suggest improvements, as well as problems related to availability, quality, and obsolescence of spare parts.
  • Track any backlog of work in area of responsibility and suggest corrective measures to Company and Contractor to improve the management of the backlog.
  • Review and assure that all Software Modifications and corrective actions are validated by Company and all impacted documentations are updated after implementation.

Profile
The holder of this post must have the following qualifications.

  • National Diploma or Certificate (ND / NC) or A-levels + 3 years’ further study or BTS / DUT or equivalent,
  • 6 years’ experience in the field of Control and Safety Systems and a minimum of 3 years as a Specialist in Control and Safety systems in the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry,
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas treatment process, installations and equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge and skill in PLC’s especially Siemens’ SIMATIC Industrial Automation Systems, Panels and HMI’s.
  • Knowledge of machine control (e.g. compressor control, injection pump control, offloading pump control, turbine control) will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of general instrumentation concepts, field devices (sensors and final elements), instrument loops, etc.
  • Awareness of Emerson’s DeltaV Process Control System, Allen Bradley’s ControlLogix System and Schneider’s Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems are an added advantage.

  • Warns support and planning teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts,

  • Suggests improvements and requests modifications.

Quality Assurance:

  • Verifies the quality of his teams’ interventions by frequent on-site checks and final checks prior to hand-back of large, critical or high integrity equipment to production after maintenance activity.

  • Possess extensive experience (10 years +) in maintenance of in Aero Derivative Gas Generators (Rolls Royce RB211 preferably), Compressors, Firewater pumps, HP Barrel pumps, Submersible water pumps, Process and Utilities Valves (all types), Diesel Generators, etc.,
  • Conversant with CMIMS: SAP/R3
  • 10 to 15 years’ experience in the field of maintenance on oil and gas production installations
  • Understands the process of O&G treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment deployed in oil and gas treatment installations.
