It is indisputable fact that the rate of unemployment that was intentionally orchestrated by the Rivers State Government in the last seven years has spiraled intolerably and assumed a dominant place of a volcanic eruption with its lava and ashes spreading at a terrific speed of light. The Rivers Youth have not been spared entirely from this ravaging monster which has inflicted varying degrees of frustration, poverty, misery, gangsterism amongst others.
This is a culmination of several years of ineptitude displayed by the state government over his inability to create employment that would have ameliorateed the deplorable standards of the youths in the state but who rather, have been preoccupied by temporarily merriment and vain glory in erecting flyovers that somewhat has an economic relevance amidst the biting economy. Worst still is his imperialistic intentions of instilling another of his stooge whose personality is highly wrapped under the apron-string of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC). This act must be resisted by all gullible youths who mean well for the state.
UPSCALING AND INDUSTRIALIZATION SYNONIMOUS WITH ARC. PST. TONYE PATRICK COLE: FLICKERS OF HOPE AWOKEN
Just as it is truism to say that the success of men are enshrined in their stories, it becomes even masterful to uphold that only strong conviction to lead breeds resolve.
In this period where many political shenanigans whose obnoxious zest for leadership is to syphon the state’s coffers dry and continue with impunity, it will be more than eulogizing for Rivers youths to come to terms by Tactically throug their collective votes employ those who are not only inclined with strategic leadership masterstroke, but heavily ladened with uncompromising attitude of insulating our resources from inordinate gangs of political adventurists.
The parallel line has been drawn so far and the onus falls on credulous ebullient Rivers youths to choose between the angel, the devil and the deep blue sea.
It is high time we become preoccupied with the thought of those whose personalities are largely penned with tupocracy, individuals with packs of values and those with strong commitment to strategic turnaround leadership. Any leader who falls below this standard should be refuted.
TONYE COLE stands tall with all the manliness structure that should characterize a good leader. Truth be told, the personality of PST. COLE is not duplicable in any of the 2023 governorship aspirants that I have seen across the country so far.
In the first place, a glance at his personality will show that he is a serial industrialist who have proven his entrepreneurship mettlesome . Next, TONYE COLE is such a big name in the hall of fame who understands both the nitty-gritty and dynamism of global economy and can easily attract investors who are ever eager to develop the abundant dimensions of intellectual capitals (human, relational and structural) which has characterized the 21st Century Nations of the world. Little wonder he was once the face of the Forbs Magazine.
COLE is a perfect benchmark for upcoming Rivers youths whose penchant for hardwork is second to none.
Lastly, his personality transcends some colourful, thrilling, inciting, yet, invigorating revelations that Rivers State in the hands of this astute Kalabari breed will be safe.
*WHAT THE YOUTHS CAN DO DIFFERENTLY*
This is indeed a trying time for all of us especially with the leadership debacle that is experienced in the state.
Like never before, we have been brought to the furnace of excruciatung penury unredeemed by a tyrant governor. At this point, may we not wake up further to the albatross as captured in the ‘Rime Of The Ancient Mariner’, the ‘bird of fortune’ has been slaughtered and now its carcass hangs on the neck of us all (Rivers People)- perhaps, as penance for the many sins of greed, craftiness, abandonement and unemployment of youths. ” In the end, all of us are paying a price after matching for a government that barely recognizes their worths, and many will pay an even steeper price if they continue to be indifferent.
Unemployment in Rivers State has particularly become a chronic one and worrisome to our teeming youths and only a purpose driven leader can fill the economic lacuna created in the last seven years. Hence, the call on all responsible youths to take the bull by the horn through their PVCs becomes the only surrogate to another administrative dracuna.
