Job Title: Audit, Risk and Compliance Governance Business Partner

.

Location: Edo

Job Summary

  • The Audit, Risk and Compliance Governance (ARCG) Business Partner is charged with the responsibility of increasing the operational efficiency of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU), by preventing fraud and eliminating wastages.
  • He/ She manages and reports on the implementation and findings on the SBU’s risk management and compliance frameworks by planning, execution, preparation of quality Internal Audit, Compliance review & Risk management programs in the SBU.
  • He/ She will coordinate the creation, review and implementation of policies and procedures established by the agencies that regulate the company.

Duties / Responsibilities
Audit:

  • Conduct environmental audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
  • Develop Internal Audit Strategic Plan for the SBU
  • Monitor and test corrective actions from prior audits
  • Provide support to the Company’s independent auditors
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.

Compliance:

  • Continuous monitoring of business activities to ensure compliance with company Policies, Processes, Guidelines and Governance framework
  • Interacting with external auditors on matters related to audits of the organization’s internal controls
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated
  • Advise Management on the implementation or operation of compliance programs.

Risk Management:

  • Execute Internal audits, Compliance review & Risk management included in the annual ARCG plan
  • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies
  • Develop, enhance, and apply procedures and approach to Internal audits, Compliance review & Risk management execution in the business and seek to identify new potential gaps in the business.
  • Effectively communicate findings, recommendations, resolutions & updates to Business Management & Board Committees in respect of Internal audits, Compliance review & Risk management issues.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Second Class Upper in Accounting, Economics, or Finance from a reputable from a reputable university
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACCA or ACA).
  • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate management degree will be an advantage
  • 2-5 Years cumulative experience in as an internal control personnel in either Agro – ailled or Manufacturing or FMCG industry.
  • Goods knowledge and use of Microsoft Office packages & ERP systems (Knowledge of Navision& SharePoint will be an added advantage).

Job Title: Business Accountant

Location: Urhonigbe, Edo

Job Summary

  • Business Accountant (BA) is a strategic partner in running the business and plays a crucial role in providing central financial direction to the Strategic Business Unit. BA will direct and oversee all financial functions of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU), create a culture of high performance and people management in the unit, align functions and resources, and deploy people and skills optimally to achieve strategic priorities.
  • He /She should be able to present reports competently and confidently to the SBU Management/ Corporate Office and negotiate effectively with business partners. He /She must have clear focus, give attention to details and be a strategic thinker who is focused on execution.

Primary Responsibilities

  • As a strategic business partner with the Business Manager and Management, BA is responsible for the assessment of the company’s performance against both the annual budget (in line with the levers of control) and the company’s approved 5-year Plan.
  • Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Business Manager and provides actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • Cost: create sense of value for money across board to enhance effective deployment of resources. Work together with all units to ensure SBU uses less to achieve more. Ensure the Naira differential objectives are met
  • Put the right mechanism in place to ensure SBU Pays all obligations on due date, stays Cash-Flow Positive throughout the period in line with the financial indicators in the plan
  • Responsible for the seamless and real-time running of the financial reporting processes to aid speed of service delivery to both internal and external parties
  • Report the actual financial Performance and compare with the Control Levers.
  • Oversee the finance and Accounts unit to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function
  • Oversee payroll budgeting, monthly payroll, and all related controls. Assist in the design, implementation, and timely calculations of wages, incentives, commissions, and bonuses and ensure adequate cash flow for payroll payments.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for HR regarding cost effective benefit plans, health insurance plans and other fringe benefits affecting SBU associates
  • Insurance Claim workflow should be strictly monitored, and each claim settled/closed within a month after the incident.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of BSc (2:1). in Accounting, Economics, or Finance from a reputable university
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACCA or ACA) or a prospective member.
  • Applicant must have a Minimum of 5yrs working experience in a similar role.
  • Age Requirement: 28- 35yrs old

Job Summary

  • Management Accountant (MA) is a strategic partner in running the business and plays a crucial role in providing central financial direction to the Business Accountant.
  • His/her primary duty is to support the Business Accountant with production of on time and accurate management reporting information.
  • He/she will also be required to work with the finance team to design, implement and manage best accounting practices across their areas of responsibility, including making and implementing agreed process changes and improvements.
  • He/she will be part of a team with a culture of high performance and will deploy his/her skills optimally to achieve strategic priorities.
  • He /She should be able to present reports competently and confidently to the Management team. He /She must have clear focus, give attention to details and be a strategic thinker who is focused on execution

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all foreign currency payments are made in accordance with contracted terms and budgeted exchange rates.
  • Develops tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Management Team and provides actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
  • He/she will ensure that financial discipline and prudence is applied for all transactions and will provide primary controls to ensure that the assets of the project are well secured.
  • Put the right mechanism in place to ensure Business Pays all obligations on due date, stays Cash-Flow Positive throughout the period in line with the financial indicators in the plan.
  • Responsible for the seamless and real-time running of the financial reporting processes to aid speed of service delivery to both internal and external parties.

  • Completion of monthly statutory rendition
  • Managing preparation and submission of the Group’s various VAT returns and declarations.
  • Work with other Strategic Business Unit Accountant to ensure prompt reconciliation of all intercompany accounts
  • Prepare the weekly wastage report
  • Production of supporting Balance Sheet and reconciliations for all Balance sheet Items.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Second Class Upper in Accounting, Economics, or Finance from a reputable university
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACCA or ACA).
  • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate management degree will be an advantage
