HOW TINUBU SOLD OUT 2023 PRESIDENTIAL TICKET
Greed and desperation are major factors responsible for people eating their ‘harvest in seed.’
What then shall we say when a man leaves a life of a farmer which is characterized by patience and move into desperate hunting!
The former Governor of Lagos State, Bolanle Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu who is usually anxious to possessing and controlling power as he has serially displayed in the South Western part of Nigeria, has unconsciously sold out the South West’s chances of securing the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Ticket for 2023 due to personal interest.
In retrospect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu roared to become a running mate to President Muhammad Buhari in 2014, undermining its negative implication on Nigeria context and the heated campaign on Islamisation of Nigeria against the All Progressives Congress, APC. But when he saw fires, he went back to his shell in ambush!
However, before the All Progressives Congress, APC Maiden Presidential Primaries in 2014, the party and the five aspirants had agreed on each running mate for who eventually wins.
Progressively, the victory of then Muhammad Buhari as the party’s Presidential Candidate favoured the then Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as his running mate.
Surprisingly, Chief Bola Tinubu changed and disagreed with the resolution! Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi on his part, relinquished the position stressed that ‘victory is paramount for the party and not position.’ After several meetings, the slot was moved to the South West and it favoured the current Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi and the same Tinubu disagreed! Finally, he gave it to his ally, the former Commissioner of Justice, Prof Yemi Osibanjo who is standing in for him.
To set the record straight, both the eight years serving Vice President, Prof Yemi Osibanjo and the current Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila are from Lagos State with Bola Tinubu. Greed most times leads to Shameful Failure.
Succinctly, the All Progressives Congress, APC is a national political party and equity, justice and fairness examined that South West has taken enough of the national quota from the party extracting from the Tinubu’s desperation to monopolize power and it is time for another southern part to step in.
It is imperative to state that no South Western aspirant will see victory as Nigerians are consciously aware that they are Tinubu in disguise.
In a nutshell, Bola Ahmed Tinubu through desperation and quest for 2023 APC Presidential Ticket, sold out the South West APC Presidential Ticket for 2023 in disguise to the former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi when he breached the running mate agreement that favoured him.
