Job Title: Night Drilling Supervisor

Description

  • Provide day to day communication links between nshore management and the wellsite.
  • Accountable for ensuring all rig activities undertaken are:
    • Discussed in a planning meeting
    • Covered by procedure
    • Adequately risk assessed
    • Understood by all crew members involved in the task
    • Reviewed to distill lessons learned.
  • Focal point for Company3rd party Drilling vendors.
  • Accountable for Supervising the safe and efficient implementation of the drilling, completion and workover activities at all times.
  • Provides input into the drilling, well operations and completions plan.
  • Monitoring all wells personnel and materials movements to ensure that there are no delays to programme.
  • Accurate reporting of drilling, completion and workover activity.
  • Liaising between the offshore team and onshore support group.
  • Supporting the Installation and FPSO on matters involving drilling, completion and workovers.
  • Fulfill Permit to Work System (PTW) duties as defined in the relevant bridging documents.
  • Liason with the FPSO operations team with regard to work programmes, interfaces and risks.
  • Accountable for delivery of well activity in line with performance criteria detailed in well programmes, etc, specifically HSE, days per 10K, days per completion and cost.
  • Ensure the cost effective use of services and equipment offshore, and their timely return when operations are completed.
  • Ensure lessons learned are recorded and provide input to the EOWR.
  • Assist in the monitoring, appraisal, coaching and development of all offshore Well Engineering, Well Services/Completions personnel and other direct reports.
  • Developing team building across the team, creating and promoting a culture of openness, involvement and participation.
  • Active participation in the delivery of team objectives

HSE Function:

  • Co-operate with management in promoting, developing and maintaining a safe place of work and safe working practices and in meeting statutory health and safety requirements.
  • Demonstration of HSE leadership at all times to all members of the drilling and completion team.
  • Provide a focal point for Company all HSE issues and ensure all activities are conducted in a responsible manner with verification through HSE monitoring and inspections.
  • Safe execution and delivery of activity in line with HSE expectations, HSE plans and in line with the Safety Management System.
  • Ensure drill crew participation in safety initiatives and disseminate safety information, alerts and progress against KPI’s to the drill crews and 3rd party vendors.
  • Auditing both the activity and management systems of all drilling and completion service providers.
  • Ensure that accidents / incidents (including near misses) which could have caused injury, damage or loss of production are reported in line with regulations and company requirements.
  • Ensure any accident and incident investigations are undertaken and closed out thoroughly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adequate management of change, and risk assessment is applied to all aspects of the operations and wells delivery.
  • Technical support in times of emergency response to well control incidents.
  • Be aware of the hazards in the work environment and report (or make safe if possible) any work methods, plant, equipment or conditions in their work area which they consider to be hazardous and submit suggestions to improve or remedy the situation by use of the site specific system in place.
  • Take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • The Drilling Supervisor’s (DSV) role is to manage the drill crew and other service providers offshore during all drilling, completion, and workover operations, to ensure the well is delivered in conformance with local legislation and Company policy and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Senior Completion & Workover Engineer

Co-ordination:

  • Follows operations, provides technical support during operations and ensures procedures are followed by off/on shore supervisors. Where applicable ensures MOC are written and risk assessments are carried out and communicated to the off/on shore team in a timely manner.
  • Participates to CWOP and risk assessment sessions for completion and workover operations.
  • Ensures lessons learnt and best practices are communicated to service company and other stakeholders
  • Follows well KPI and CPI database, and benchmark operations against ‘’best composite’’ performance.
  • Follow-up and close-out any highlighted improvement actions. Participates in contractor site / process technical and HSE audits.
  • Participates to the preparation, planning, optimization and follow-up on off/on shore execution of well completion operations.
  • Ensures completion schematics and final tallies are correct and uploaded into WELLVIEW.
  • Participate to LEAN, 3C, cost rationalization and continuous improvement culture within the completion team through-out the well delivery cycle.
  • Ensures all Completion docs are issued, validated and stored as per COMPANY doc management policies.
  • Ensure Completion specific softwares/IT-tools are fully functional, customized and updated (Wellview, torque and drag simulators, Planner).
  • Ensures with Logistic Team that stock levels for vital elements are secured. Validates supply plans with special attention to LLI.
  • Eliminates superfluous or obsolete equipment from DCD Completion stock.

Organization (In relationship with Technical Services, GSR, and Assets):

  • Participates to the End of Well report preparation and liaise with the Drilling Engineering team.
  • Liaises with GSR, ECP, FOPs and Contractors to ensure optimization of well operations program and Completions well equipment preparation.
  • Prepares CFT documents for completion, workover and well test operations. Performs CFT technical assessment and makes recommendation to the C&P teams.
  • Prepares well handover documents and communicate to Field Operations well parameters and non-conformances.

Technical:

  • Prepares completion designs in line with SOR requirements. Performs tubing stress analysis, sand control, corrosion/erosionand any other studies required for the completion designs.
  • Writes well programs, ensures completion equipment is prepared, is fit for purpose and meets well timelines. Ensures risk assessments and HAZID/HAZOP are carried out prior to the completion operations.
  • Proposes new ideas and innovations to improve well performance, well operations performance, reduce risk and/or cost.
  • Leads any third-party studies required (HQ, Service Cies, Labs) for validating BOD.

Qualifications

  • MSc Engineering domain.
  • 5 to 8 years completion related experience. Minimum of 3 years off/on shore exposure.
  • Previous completion design experience strongly recommended.

  • Interfaces with Contract and Procurement, Survey and Geomatics, Engineering and Commissioning Departments for all routine minor works and minor interventions related issues.
  • Reviews and ensures in conjunction with Engineering and Commissioning that, routine minor works and minor interventions Engineering dossiers issued by execution Contractors conform with COMPANY specifications and applicable project specifications.
  • Prepares Scope of Work (SOW) and all other RFQ/CFT dossiers for routine minor works and minor interventions and liaises with his/her C&P duet in defining the contract execution strategy.
  • Participates effectively during Safety Reviews, Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) and Hazard Identification (HAZID) sessions.
  • Takes the lead and participates in Job Risk Assessments (JRAs), Constructability reviews and other relevant review sessions related to routine minor works and minor interventions.
  • Monitors routine minor works and minor interventions activities during fabrication and installation phases to ensure compliance with Project specifications.
  • Ensures that all HSE MS requirements of the project are respected by routine minor works and minor interventions Contractors.
