- Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF): Requires an NCE or National Diploma (ND) in any related field from a recognized institution.
Category B: Assistant Cadre
- Fire Assistant II (FA II): Requires GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent with a maximum of five (5) credits in two sittings, including English and Mathematics.
- Fire Assistant III (FA III) & Appliance Driver (Specialist): Requires GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) credits in two sittings, including English and Mathematics. Class E Driver’s License is an advantage.
