Job Title: Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• Ensure accounting transactions are carried out in line with best practices.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and ensure same as true reflection of all accounting transactions.
• Carry out daily reconciliation of all sales lodgments i.e cash and electronics payment to ensure correctness of all transactions from all business units.
• Ensure financial discipline and prudence in all transactions.
• Carry out monthly stock reconciliations to avoid stock out.
• Review all receivables and payables for accuracy or correctness.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
• Provide input into department’s goal setting process.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc Graduate in Accounting
• Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as senior accountant in reputable company in Nigeria.
• ERP experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards and Nigeria tax law and regulations.
• Knowledge in Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation and Supplier Reconciliation
• Wide experience in Account payables and Account Receivables
• Knowledge in Trial Balance
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks and Sage 50.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.

Job Summary

• Our client needs candidate for Billing/Account Receivable Officer who will be responsible for recovering money owed by customers to the organization.
• The credit function plays a vital role in the finance department to ensure that invoices are paid on time to assist the organization manage their cashflow.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Credit control supervisor, the Billing/Account Receivable Officer role will perform a wide range of duties and responsibilities. These may include, but are not limited to:

• Chasing up overdue payments via telephone and email and visits.
• Invoicing.
• Resolving customer Accounting queries and issues.
• Setting credit limits.
• Reconciliation of payments to customer’s accounts.
• Solve problems regarding incorrect payments.
• Identifying clients that exceeded credit limits for disconnection.
• Highlighting problem customers to senior management.
• WHT recovery and follow up.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in any related field.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in the same ISP/ICT environment
• Understanding of the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Management
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Tenacity and ability to have difficult conversations
• Willingness to escalate debt issues
• Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting packages.

Job Title: Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Manager

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social and corporate governance policies and procedures, as well as reviewing and appraising the operations of the company to be socially and environmentally sustainable and comply with all regulatory/required safeguarding policies and internationally recognized best practices.
• Provide technical expertise on critical issues related to environmental and social impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, preparation, implementation and supervision of the company’s operations taking into consideration best industry practices and standards
• Create Standard Operating Procedures necessary for the role
• Identify and assess hazards and establish control systems that focus on prevention
• Manage and conduct environmental and social safeguarding due diligence for the company
• Identify all critical potential social and environmental impacts and risks of transactions and ensure that their magnitude and significance are well understood by the Management
• Ensure that the Company understands the applicable ESG policies, guidelines and project-specific requirements, and has the necessary commitment and capacity to manage social and environmental impacts and/or risks adequately and supported by mechanisms that facilitate implementation
• Report on and disseminate good practices and generated knowledge.
• Oversee Data Protection of the Company and ensure necessary compliance Other duties
• Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the Management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and above.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an ESG role
• Prior managerial experience in a similar role or capacity
• FMCG, QSR and/or retail industry knowledge and experience is a plus
• Additional professional certification will be an added advantage
• Hands-on experience with government policies and regulations as well as monitoring
• Self-motivated and experienced in transition situations where there is rapid change
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and highly demanding environment.
