TONYE COLE, OTHER CANDIDATES WON’T PARTICIPATE IN 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS ~says Abe’s faction

The Senator MAGNUS ABE’s faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has boasted that candidates from the CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI’s faction of the party would not participate in the 2023 general elections in the state.

A member of the ABE’s faction and Rivers State House of Assembly aspirant, SALVATION MOSES told BraveViews in a telephone interview that they would remove TONYE COLE and other candidates of the AMAECHI’ faction, who emerged through what he called, ‘back door.

SALVATION MOSES emphatically boasted that TONYE COLE and all the candidates of Rivers State chapter of APC would not participate in the 2023 general election, arguing that the process that brought them up as candidates was faulty and illegal.

He expressed optimism that aspirants from the ABE’s faction would be on the ballot for the 2023 general elections.

He disclosed that their next political move would be made known in the next 48 hours.

Brave Views gathered that the leader of the faction, Senator MAGNUS ABE and other leaders of the group are still in Abuja and would be back to Port Harcourt tomorrow, Sunday.

SALIVATION also disclosed that: “There’s a lot of litigation against the process that threw up TONYE COLE as a governorship candidate and all the aspirants from the AMAECHI faction.

“They will not participate in the election, the reason is very simple; first of all, you can’t put something on nothing and expect it to stand; the process that threw them up was faulty and illegal, nobody builds castle in the air. We chose not to participate in that coronation of a king that will never be crowed.

“There was no APC congress in the state, so, where did they get the delegates that voted the candidates and every institution saddled with the responsibility of supervising that election has written to say there was no congress, so, where did they get the delegates from”?

“we are contesting the 2023 general elections, take it to the bank”. He appalled to our correspondent to be patient until the next 48 hours to know their next political direction.

When contacted, the deputy spokesman of APC in Rivers State, DARLINGTON NWAUJU told BraveViews on a telephone interview that, the ABE’s group were free to approach the law court.

According to NWAUJU: “Let them go to court, we heard they want to go to court, I wish them good luck”.
