Job Title: Quality & R&D Manager

Duties / Responsibilities

Working to reduce complaint and product & process non-conformities to deliver product high reliability in processing Packing operations
Provide quality system and control support to the business in compliance to Regulatory agencies requirements, guidelines, and Company requirements. (e.g. Nafdac, SON, Ministries etc).
Effectively address Quality incidents, non-conformances, and risks assessments, monitor external /trade complaints, monitor trends, and drive investigations where necessary.
Ensure that safe work policies, procedures, and standards are well imbibed to ensure continuous improvement across all process on site.
Organize internal audits as well as host audit organisations to ensure companywide compliance in line with ISO9001.
Ensure full and timely communication and collaboration with all areas of the business, key stakeholders, and customer.
The incumbent is to drive customer product research & NPD process, formulation management, in conjunction with NPD & Marketing and Sales teams.
Work closely with and build relationships with Sales and Marketing to ensure all products are commercially viable.
Shelf-life completion and extension work.
Control and monitor value added product development including competitor product analysis, benchmarking market, product design, product matching, sensory analysis, recipe optimisation, supplier rationalisation and optimisation programmes.
Provide recipes, tolerance data, relevant raw material specifications and costing information in the correct format, in a timely fashion, to allow the Centralised Resource team to create and finalise product information for successful product launches.
Drive factory liaison in terms of process development, production trials, recipe manufacture, and ingredient training with plant operatives.

Education and Experience

Educated to Degree or equivalent level in Foods Science, or Laboratory, or Chemical or related qualification
5 – 7+ years in FMCG environment
Must have led Quality and R&D process in a manufacturing environment.
Robust experience managing new product registration, Nafdac requirement in Herbicide processing and formulation will be an added advantage.
Along Lagos Ibadan expressway. Close to Magboro or Mount of Fire Church. Ogun state.
Age Requirement: 30 – 40 Years

Overseeing and managing smooth and efficient factory production, to produce good quality outputs with desired yield levels.

Manage and support a team of Supervisors and other operational/ technical teams.
Encouraging a LEAN manufacturing and continuously improving culture.

Focus closely on labour, waste and GMP targets to ensure efficiency.

Head up the Continuous improvement (CI) team, ensuring that projects are handled efficiently and with the greatest positive outcome.
Ensure savings are on track through Business Improvement Projects.

Education and Experience

Minimum of B.Sc in Engineering: Chemical, Mechanical, Production, Industrial or related field etc.
Have at least a 5-years related processing experience in an FMCG or chemical/ herbicide filling plant operation/ facility.

Job Title: Business Manager – Formulation Plant

Location: Ogun

Duties / Responsibilities
Commercial Role:

The Manager shall be responsible for overseeing business growth efforts on behalf of the company.
Duties will include conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and client leads, coordinating with company leadership to conduct risk assessments, and maintaining beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers and other business partners.

Cost Control:

Ensure optimum cost control for the entire business by identifying business opportunities.
Working with the R&D team, Identify and implement continuous improvements initiatives for the formulation plant, including recipe improvements, and other marketing related initiatives.
Identify business waste and block leakages.

Productivity:

Organize and coordinate business operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity.
Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals.
Lead & supervise the business operations employees to ensure productivity efficiency of operations and providing direction on how best to handle different tasks while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Assess overall company performance against objectives.
Drives the manufacturing strategy of the business. Perform Short, Mid & Long-term capacity planning etc- to ensure seamless execution.
Assessing and identifying new opportunities for growth in current and prospective markets.
Engages the sales, planning and market facing team to be able to deliver the right products that serves the customer needs.
Maintain plan for forecasting, targeting, and attaining sales.
Ensure Finished goods (FG) availability to support sales ambition (Zero stock out situation).
Maintain relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers.
Create capture tactics for sales targets that are in line with the objectives of the practice area and the business model.
Developing skill sets of team members, onboarding plans, operator trainings (both internal & external interventions as required) etc.

Efficiency:

Ensure that the company has the adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities (e.g., people, material, equipment etc.)
Identify areas of manufacturing Wastage and drive them down.

Quality:

Ensure that manufacturing related market complaints are tracked and driven down to near zero as much as possible.
Ensure that system and analytical processes, documentation, testing are done, and documents kept.
Ensure a robust cGMP, and relevant ISO certification are done, and team are abreast with current manufacturing standards.
Drives Inbound, In processing and outbound manufacturing quality.

Oversee & supervise engagement with Regulators:

Oversee engage and supervise issues around safety and regulatory engagement with regulators, ministries, and other environmental agencies.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second class upper in Business, Management or related field.
7 – 15 Years of relevant business management experience in manufacturing environment.
Age Requirement: 35-45 years old
