It was yet another great day of political harvest for the All Progressives Congress APC in Eleme and Rivers State in general.

The defection ceremony featured many youth supporters and members of the PDP across the ten (10) electoral wards of Eleme, non-indigenes and members of other political parties.
Ambassador Oji Ngofa, leader of APC in Eleme, who expressed happiness for haven rejoined his old time political team player, Chidi Chu, assured the new entrants of level-play and openness of leadership to all of them as equal stakeholders and members of the party.

The duo in turn officially received the fresh APC family members into the fold.
Several speeches were received from the defectors. Leaders of the defectors and Chief Host of the event, Chief Hon. Chidi Chu, amongst others, stated that the ceremony marks the end of any little strength PDP may have been enjoying in Eleme. Chidi Chu expressed deep regrets to haven waisted many years in a political party, which cardinal ideology is deception and brigandage.
Speaking for ex-councillors, Rt. Hon. Nyime Ngelale alluded that Eleme had a true face of leadership only when Oji Ngofa and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi held sway as Council Chairman and Governor of Rivers State respectively.
