Job Title: Loan Recovery Officer

Locations: Abuja (FCT) & Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor the assigned accounts to ensure repayment and report on the status of each of the assigned accounts.
  • Develop new plans to recover and collect owed money/outstanding debt.
  • Ensure that any discrepancies with customer information are promptly resolved.
  • Consistently and periodically update the database with customer information like new addresses, names, payback information.
  • Utillize various tracing techniques and strategies to collect personal information of customers with outstanding debts.
  • Negotiate extended payment plans and the best course of action for customers seeking to avoid further debts.
  • In order to curb customer delinquency, the incumbent will be required to convince the customers to get back on their repayment schedule.
  • They may also need to negotiate new payment schedules that can suit clients’ financial situations while satisfying the debt.
  • Recovery Agents will be the staff responsible for going out to collect funds.
  • They will employ the standard collections script and procedures.

Job Title: Wealth Manager – Deposit Mobilization (Liability Asset)

Description 

  • Source appropriately priced and structured deposit liabilities for the company from retail and institutional sources.
  • Visit, engage prospects and maintain liability generated.
  • Marketing and sale of all company deposit products.
  • Meet, maintain and exceed assigned targets and quota in deposit mobilization and other assigned tasks.
  • Propose services, up-selling and cross-selling whenever possible.
  • Participate in creating new and better marketing based on field experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum education level – First Degree in any discipline from a reputable academic institution. Post-graduate qualification(s) and professional membership will be an added advantage.

  • The role involves overseeing delinquent account and loan recovery, developing strategies to reduce losses, negotiating repayment plans, collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with debt collection laws, analyzing data, and providing recovery optimization recommendations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: You will be responsible for leading a team of recovery personnel and providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective debt recovery. This includes assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Debt Recovery Strategy: You will develop and implement strategies and processes to recover outstanding debts, in line with the organization’s policies and legal requirements.
  • This may involve reviewing delinquent accounts, assessing the financial situation of debtors, and determining appropriate recovery actions.
  • Negotiation and Communication: You will interact with debtors, either directly or through your team, to negotiate payment plans or settlements. Effective communication skills are crucial in handling sensitive situations, resolving disputes, and maintaining a professional and ethical approach throughout the recovery process.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, HND or equivalent in Social Sciences, Sciences or related field of study
  • 7 – 10 years experience in similar position

Job Title: Underwriting Executive

Locations: Port Harcourt – River and Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Underwriting Executive must be able to Underwrite the creditworthiness of customers in other to mitigate the overall risk of the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and analyzing the creditworthiness of all potential customers based on risk criteria.
  • To evaluate all quantitative details in the applications with a view to making objective decisions based on empirical facts from the financial information evaluated.
  • Reviewing applications for credit facilities with a view to point out deviations from the company’s credit policy and highlight quality assurance issues in credit proposals received from business areas.
  • Performing various departmental functions including loan covenant monitoring, risk rating, audit preparation and recovery as assigned by HOD.
  • Ensure Credits requiring amendments are communicated to the business areas to amend as appropriate.
  • To evaluate all quantitative details in the applications with a view to making objective decisions based on empirical facts from the financial information evaluated.
  • To communicate to the business areas the credit corners and the quality assurance issues for responses/resolutions.
  • Ensuring that all credit approvals, KYC are in place documentation is duly executed, and that the company’s interest is well protected.
  • Conducting credit search (CRS & CRC Report) on credit bureau database.
  • Conducting Email Verification & preparing Transaction Consummation Reports.
  • Reviewing transactions for final checklist and approval.

Requirements

  • The ability to manipulate large amounts of data, extract key insights from the data using statistical concepts, for clear and concise communication into actionable recommendations gathered from your insights.
  • The role requires you to manage projects at various stages from hypothesis generation to development and implementation, including being responsible for project management plans and timelines.
  • You will be expected to provide leadership at the concept and process level to guide projects and initiatives to completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
Lead, Credit Strategy & Portfolio:

  • Lead projects and initiatives in identifying new client’s segmentation opportunities and strategies
  • Perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of credit polices to pursue specific financial and credit goals
  • Develop complete business cases for new opportunities, inclusive of financial modeling and forecasts
  • Develop or contribute to the development of complex predictive analytical models (risk, loss, decision)

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, required.
  • Superior communication, organization and presentation skills desired
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Experience with credit risk decision engine software and platform solutions.
